FOREST SCHOOL DAY SESSIONS
Covid-19
We are following the Covid-19 reopening guidance and have taken precautionary measures such as adding an extra hand washing station, so there are now 2, plus 2 hand sanitiser stations. Lunch will also be prepared by staff wearing gloves. The group size will be small, no larger than 15 children, and as we are in an outdoor setting, distancing will happen more naturally as children explore the site and play, plus the chance of transmission is greatly reduced outdoors.

The session runs from 9-3pm, the cost is £30 (£5 discount if booking for siblings or for more than one session), please see the booking form for payment details.
The meeting point is at the front of the Ring O’Bells, 18 St Mary’s Rd, Meare, BA6 9SP (opposite the school).
There is some on street parking, and a car park at the bottom of Muddy Lane, the turning opposite.
Please be prompt with drop-off so that we can maximise our time on site having fun!
Kit List
To take part in a session, your child must wear appropriate clothing for the outdoors that can get muddy/dirty:
•Sturdy waterproof boots/wellies in wet weather, trainers are ok in the summer.
•Long-sleeved hoodie/sweatshirt/jumper over a t-shirt.
•Long trousers e.g. tracksuit bottoms (shorts are fine in warm weather).
•Waterproof coat (waterproof trousers/dungarees if possible) in wet weather.
•Hat and gloves if the weather is cold!
•A spare set of clothing for your child in a named bag or packed into their rucksack.
•Sun hat and sun cream in warm weather.
Please provide a healthy snack for morning break and a drinks bottle, no fizzy pop or sweets please! Also, please ensure all snacks are nut free.
Lunch will be cooked over the fire, water is provided, and we will have an afternoon snack of hot chocolate and marshmallows, please list any dietary requirements on the booking form.
